As part of its commitment to providing industry-relevant and experience-based learning, the Worldwide Maritime and Hospitality Training Institute (WMHTI) successfully conducted its Hotel Internship and Familiarization Program at Novotel Manila Araneta City, giving trainees the opportunity to immerse themselves in the daily operations of a world-class hotel.

The learning experience introduced participants to the essential departments that work together to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Guided by experienced hospitality professionals, trainees gained valuable insights into Housekeeping, Front Office Operations, Guest Check-in Procedures, Food and Beverage Service, and the standards that define quality hospitality. Each session provided participants with a deeper understanding of hotel operations, service excellence, and the professionalism expected in today's hospitality industry.

A highlight of the program was the specialized bartending and beverage familiarization session at The 6th Manila, Novotel's rooftop bar. Here, trainees were introduced to the fundamentals of mixology and bartending, learning about beverage preparation, bar operations, and the skills required to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a professional bar setting. This hands-on exposure broadened their understanding of another vital aspect of the hospitality industry and showcased the importance of creativity, precision, and customer engagement in food and beverage service.
Beyond developing technical competencies, the program emphasized teamwork, communication, attention to detail, and service excellence—qualities that define successful hospitality professionals. Through direct interaction with industry practitioners, participants gained valuable perspectives on the expectations and realities of working in a dynamic hotel environment.

The day concluded with a buffet dinner at Food Exchange Manila, where trainees experienced world-class dining and hospitality from a guest's perspective, reinforcing the standards of quality service they aspire to deliver in their future careers.

WMHTI's Hotel Internship and Familiarization Program reflects the institute's commitment to bridging classroom learning with real-world industry exposure. Through meaningful partnerships with leading hospitality establishments such as Novotel Manila Araneta City, WMHTI continues to equip aspiring professionals with the confidence, practical knowledge, and global mindset needed to excel in the hospitality and cruise industries.
As WMHTI continues to expand its industry collaborations, it remains steadfast in its mission of preparing future-ready professionals who are equipped to seize opportunities at sea and beyond.
