As part of WMHTI's International Cruise Familiarization and Learning Program, participants gathered onboard Adora Magic City for a meaningful Cruise Familiarization and Awarding Ceremony—a special event that celebrated learning, achievement, and collaboration within the global cruise industry.

The ceremony provided trainees with the unique opportunity to hear firsthand from accomplished cruise industry professionals who shared valuable insights drawn from years of shipboard experience. Serving as keynote speakers were Ferdie John Sanejo, Sous Chef, Edward Delos Santos Jr., Restaurant Manager, and John Kenneth Galbonton, Housekeeping Manager.

Through their presentations, the speakers offered practical advice on career development, professionalism, leadership, service excellence, and the realities of working onboard international cruise ships. Their stories inspired participants to pursue their goals with confidence, discipline, and a commitment to continuous learning.

A highlight of the event was the recognition of trainees who successfully participated in the International Cruise Familiarization and Learning Program. Certificates were awarded to acknowledge their dedication, active participation, and commitment to expanding their knowledge of cruise operations, hospitality, and global service standards.

The ceremony also recognized the valuable contributions of WMHTI's invited VIP guests, educational partners, and industry supporters whose presence helped make the program a success. Their participation reflected a shared commitment to strengthening industry-academic collaboration and creating more opportunities for aspiring cruise and hospitality professionals.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, WMHTI and its delegation were honored by Adora Magic City through a special recognition ceremony onboard. This gesture symbolized the strong partnership and shared vision of promoting experiential learning, international exposure, and professional development for future maritime and hospitality talents.

More than an awarding ceremony, the event served as a celebration of growth, achievement, and the collective efforts of everyone involved in making the International Cruise Familiarization and Learning Program a meaningful and transformative experience.

As participants continue their journey toward careers in the cruise and hospitality industries, the lessons learned, connections built, and recognition received onboard Adora Magic City will serve as lasting reminders of the opportunities that await those who are willing to learn, explore, and pursue excellence.

The Cruise Familiarization and Awarding Ceremony stands as one of the defining moments of the program—an occasion that not only honored accomplishments but also inspired participants to embark on their next chapter with greater confidence and purpose.
